Why do I need to take my passport with me on the excursion?

This is a requirement from the Tourist Police authorities in Egypt, you will notice there are Police Checkpoints along many of Sharm’s roads and thoroughfares who may request to check foreigners are travelling. Also the Marine Authorities manage the safety of all boat passengers, so you will always need to carry your passport on excursions.

Will I need to purchase a Visa at the airport for the Excursion.

Visas are only required for travelling outside the Sharm El Sheikh perimeter within Egypt (for example to Cairo and Luxor) and for more advanced divers that want to discover certain dive sites further afield. However, we do recommend that you purchase a full visa on arrival, as it is difficult to obtain once you leave the airport if your travel plans change. More details
